This home, which was designed with a nod toward the Asian aesthetic that the homeowners enjoy, sits lightly on the earth while capturing southern light for day-lighting as well as passive solar heating.

The house is constructed of SIP’s panels which afford higher insulation values and generate less construction waste than traditional stick framed homes. The house also utilizes low VOC materials, triple pane windows, and a ground source heat pump system for heating and cooling which uses one third of the energy of traditional heating/cooling systems.
